The Nazca Lines flyover is a unique experience that allows visitors to fully appreciate the mysterious figures engraved in the pampas of the Nazca desert in Peru. These lines, which date back to between 500 B.C. and 500 AD, are enormous geoglyphs that represent animals, geometric figures and humanoids, among other designs.
Some of the most well-known figures include a hummingbird, a monkey, a spider, a condor and a whale, among others. The best way to see these figures is from the air, since many of them are so large that they cannot be fully appreciated from the ground.
Flights over the Nazca Lines generally depart from the Nazca airfield and are carried out in small planes. During the flight, pilots maneuver so that passengers can clearly see the figures on the ground. It is important to note that measures have been taken to minimize the environmental and cultural impact of these flights, and restrictions are established to protect the lines.
